It’s normally around this time of year I want to plan things like get-togethers in the park, or an outing to the river we’ve taken my granddaughter to for the past few years. I wanted to go back to Big Trees again this year and invite more people, make a whole day of it. Also, since the 4th is a weekend I thought maybe we’d meet up with family to watch fireworks, maybe even have a BBQ. I’m sure my disappointments are pretty universal.
This July, I’ll try to sort out my patio garden, try to start losing all the weight I gained and keep telling myself that next year will be better. That the river and the park and Big Trees will all be there, 4th of July is on a Sunday so I’ll get another 3-day weekend, and I’ll have more time to plan things. That’s all I can do.
As far as this site and my posts for this month, I’ve got them pretty well planned already. A few nice summery recipes and a new kitchen gadget to blog about. I’m also going to double up on jewelry posts, I just couldn’t find the motivation to paint my nails last month, and I doubt I will this month. I just cut them off really short so I could do some serious typing for work and get my garden sorted. They’ll be long enough again by next month and I will resume my nail art posts then.
I hope everyone stays safe and healthy, even if they don’t get to do all the great summer things they are used to. I’m going to stay hopeful and remind myself to have positive thoughts when the negative ones creep in.
Happy July!
