My holidays were very nice this years, I hope yours were too! My husband and I had a very relaxed stay-at-home New Year’s Eve celebration. It consisted of stuffing ourselves with Indian food, watching videos and playing video games before going to bed semi-early. Yes, some might call that boring but we had a nice time.
So here we are, it’s 2015. I can hardly believe it! This year went by in slow/fast motion (they mostly do since I hit 40). It’s been an interesting year and I’ve done pretty well keeping up the blog, and making posts in a mostly timely manner. Which, if you’ve run a blog like this on your own you’d know it can sometimes be a chore.
So what’s up for me and my blog for the new year?
Well, my husband and I are a little porky, and have been since relocating to the US a few years back. We both want to lose this weight and we don’t want to portion control or calorie count so we’ve decided to “beach” diet. It’s a diet I know well and have been on before with great success.
I have several recipes banked up to share so my site isn’t going to turn into one of those carbophobia sites, oh no! We’re going to use the diet to lose the excess weight and then reincorporated carbs back into our diet so that we eventually eat pretty much how we do now (but less of it). I’ll report on our progress and share a few new low carb recipes that I like, other than that I’ll be posting non-diet recipes.
Other changes will be the addition of a few how-to posts (I’ve been asked to do one for rice) and I’ll also be changing the patio garden posts to a quarterly thing. I’ll try to include more bloggy (me blathering) type posts and at least one craftie type post a month too.
I’m looking forward to the new year and curious what 2015 will be to my life. I hope you’ll come back and visit often and won’t be afraid to use the comments via FB or G+!
