I am not a huge fan of cold cereals but if pressed for a favorite it would have to be Peanut Butter Crunch.
I’ve tried a lot of peanut butter flavored cereals over the years. Some are still on the shelves and some are not. I’ve not given a review or opinion of any that are not still available.
Here are my reviews in order of preference…
- Cap’n Crunch’s Peanut Butter Crunch – not as good as it used to be before all this “stays crunching in milk” crap started. I liked it when it went a little soggy! Though IMO it is still the best on the market if you want something a little naughty and nostalgic
- Peanut Butter Cheerios – a much subtler flavor than Cap’n Crunch, still nice and peanut-buttery but more appealing to me as a grownup. It’s more like cereal and less like a dessert
- Peanut Butter Toast Crunch – I’m a little on the fence about this stuff. It isn’t bad, I’d eat it again over most other non-peanut butter cereals, but I doubt I’ll ever buy it again I just don’t like the texture that much and it’s only not peanut-buttery enough
- Reese’s Puffs – In my mind, these don’t really count. Although I love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, the peanut butter puffs are not peanut-buttery enough and I think the chocolate puffs just wreck it overall. I’d never buy these or eat these again
