Chilled Mocha Drink

I’m not someone who spends a lot on coffee drinks. I do have the occasional Dutch Brothers Frapachino, but I mostly just drink a single cup of freshly brewed coffee in the morning and leave it at that. Occasionally, I get a craving for cold coffee. This is how I deal with it…

Ingredients

  • 6 fl oz hot strong coffee
  • 2 tsp chocolate syrup (I used sugar-free)
  • Sweetener to taste (I used 2 tsp of Truvia Baking Blend)
  • 3 fl oz cold 2% milk
  • A few drops of vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a heatproof measuring jug, whisk together the hot water, instant coffee, chocolate syrup, and sweetener until they are all dissolved and well mixed.
  2. Whisk in the cold water, milk, and vanilla.
  3. Cover and chill until cold and/or serve over ice.

Makes Approximately 1 x 10-ounce serving, easily doubled or tripled, or quadrupled, or quintupled…

Notes

  • You can use 6 fl oz hot water and a heaped tsp instant coffee instead of fresh.
