I’m not someone who spends a lot on coffee drinks. I do have the occasional Dutch Brothers Frapachino, but I mostly just drink a single cup of freshly brewed coffee in the morning and leave it at that. Occasionally, I get a craving for cold coffee. This is how I deal with it…
Ingredients
- 6 fl oz hot strong coffee
- 2 tsp chocolate syrup (I used sugar-free)
- Sweetener to taste (I used 2 tsp of Truvia Baking Blend)
- 3 fl oz cold 2% milk
- A few drops of vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- In a heatproof measuring jug, whisk together the hot water, instant coffee, chocolate syrup, and sweetener until they are all dissolved and well mixed.
- Whisk in the cold water, milk, and vanilla.
- Cover and chill until cold and/or serve over ice.
Makes Approximately 1 x 10-ounce serving, easily doubled or tripled, or quadrupled, or quintupled…
Notes
- You can use 6 fl oz hot water and a heaped tsp instant coffee instead of fresh.
