I know not everyone does, but I enjoy gin drinks. I’ve always loved dirty martinis, even before they were “in”. I’ve been ordering G&Ts with extra lime since my early twenties, and I definitely would not turn down a Tom Collins if offered one. Though, most often I make this lovely sweet-tart drink because I tend to have all the ingredients handy. It’s a take on the Gin Daisy, made with lime juice instead of lemon and Sprite to lighten it up. It’s lazy because you don’t have to shake it. If you’re a gin drinker, definitely give this a try!
Ingredients for One
- 1 shot of gin
- 1/2 shot of lime juice
- 1/2 shot of Grenadine
- 3 shots of Sprite (or other lemon-lime soda)
Instructions
- In a tall glass, add the gin, lime juice, grenadine, and Sprite. Swirl the glass, then add ice. Garnish as desired.
Notes
- You could garnish a maraschino cherry, but I don’t like them, so I don’t.
- So why “shots of Sprite”? Because it cleans out the shot glass!
