My Patio Garden 2018

Cool 360 huh? I only just found out my new phone does this. It wasn’t easy to stand in the middle of my tiny patio and do this, and I know it’s not perfect but… cool 360 huh?

I decided to do just one garden post this year, and I think with little exception, I’ll keep this as an annual post from now on. I think photographing my patio each year when it is in it’s prime will always give me good memories as opposed to the before and after, which often remind me of how much work it is!

Anyway, this year’s garden is by far my favorite, but it’s bittersweet. The raging fires in California kept the high temperatures down and filtered the sunlight so the plants didn’t cook or steam like they usually do the last few months of summer. They all grew and flourished despite the ashes in the air. To bad, can’t sit outside and enjoy it.

I actually bought a table and chairs at the very beginning of summer. We planned leisurely weekend breakfasts and alfresco dinners, but at times it’s been so unpleasant to be outside I barely got through watering the plants a few minutes a day. When I’m home I have the blinds open so I can see my lovely garden. So, like I said. It’s bittersweet.
