September 2018

It’s was unusually cool for most of August, no real ‘Hot August Nights’. I think it was mostly because of the fires in California. It’s been pretty awful. They’ve affected the air quality in not only the surrounding areas but also hundreds of miles away too. They’ve left ashes coating everything, and made people and animals sick. I thought they were winding down, but it seems it’s not. I hope they’re able to get it under control quickly.

Anyways, just a few weeks until it is officially Autumn. Here come the lovely falling leaves, pumpkin all the things, sweaters, boots, stews, baking without the guilt of heating up the house while the air conditioner is on full blast, my cats stop shedding like we paid them to blanket the house in fur, picking out Halloween costumes, and the lovely smell of people having fires in their fireplaces. Yup, I like Autumn better than any other season and I’m looking forward to it!
